Shrimati NIRMALA SEETHARAMAN felicitated in her chambers at North Block, New Delhi just now by RAPOLU ANANDA BHASKAR, Former Member of Parliament, RajyaSabha from Telangana for retaining same GST slab of FIVE percent on Handloom Fabrics, Cotton and other natural fibres.
She informed Rapolu that herself, her Ministry and GST Council are fully aware of ground realities of Weaving Sector and in particular, the plight of Weavers and will not burden them with exorbitant taxation.
Ease of Doing Business for semi unorganised, partially Cooperative and small scale Weaving Sections will be priority, she assured Rapolu.
He expressed pleasure and gratitude and pleaded her to ensure many more protective measures.
