Chief Guest of honor Sri Govind Singh, IPS., DGP, CID, today attended Cyberabad 4th Annual Sports and Games Meet – 2022 closing ceremony held at Cyberabad Police Commissionerate Parade Grounds.
Addressing the gathering, DGP, CID Said… Sports help the Police personnel relieve themselves from the daily stress they undergo while performing duties and rejuvenate them. He opined that Police need to have physical and psychological strength as they provide tireless services to the citizens round the clock. He said that sports are much required these days to avoid lifestyle diseases to which police are more prone due to the nature of their occupation. He said all the stress is busted through these meets by giving much-needed breaks to reinvigorate themselves. Team spirit and camaraderie develop amongst the police personnel due to such sports and games, he added. He appreciated all the participants and organizers. He complimented and thanked Cyberabad CP Shri Stephen Raveendra, IPS., for inviting him to today’s Annual and Games meet and making the sports meet a grand success. He commended CP for his reformative and innovative policing in Cyberabad and for providing the best services to the citizens.

Speaking on the occasion CP Shri Stephen Raveendra, IPS., appealed to all the sportsmen and players to maintain sportsmen’s spirit and take victory and defeat positively. Sports would help improve the mutual trust and friendship among people and provide a chance to meet and get to know the new faces in the force. Winning or losing, participation is important, he added. CP stated that every sportsman is a winner by the time he steps into the game and receiving the winner’s trophy is just a bonus. He opined that every participant is a winner and participation itself is a success of every sportsman.
CP said that active participation in sports and athletics will give dividends in terms of fitness, well-being, and happiness. He wished that an amicable relationship will be developed among the Police during the sports meet. CP mentioned that Cyberabad Commissionerate is providing ample support to the Police to reach better levels in sports.

Chief Guest of honor DGP CID, Shri Govind Singh, IPS., graced the occasion with his presence and gave away trophies, medals, and certificates to the winners. In the Third day-long sports meet, Police working across Cyberabad Commissionerate have participated in sports including Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Kabaddi, Shuttle Badminton, High jump, long jump, Shot put, Discus throw, Javelin throw, caroms, 100 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters, 1,500 meters, 4×100 meters running, 4×400 meters running and 500 meters running, etc.
The participants in the Annual Sports and Games Meet – 2022 were Jt. CP, Shri Avinash Mohanty, IPS, DCP Crimes Shri Kalmeshwar Shingenavar, IPS., Madhapur DCP Smt. Shilpavalli, Shamshabad DCP Shri Jagadishwar Reddy, Balanagar DCP Shri Sundeep, DCP Crimes – II Kavitha, DCP Crimes III Indira, CAR Hqtrs ADCP Shri Riyaz-Ul-Haq, ADCP CSW Shri Venkat Reddy, ADCPs, ACPs, SCSC General Secretary Krishna Yedula, Chief Accounts Officer Chandrakala, Chief Admin Officer Geetha, Superintendents of various sections and others were present.
